Main production program of VÁCLAV & JEŽO, a.s., company from Ilava, is production of sponge biscuits for kids. This company is the only company producing long sponge biscuits at the Slovak market and its portfolio is supplemented also with round sponge biscuits. Its products go to domestic market as well as to the markets of neighbor countries: Czech, Hungarian, Slovenian and Polish market.
These products are made of natural ingredients without use of any chemical additives and colorings complying with the strictest criteria. Its products are very popular among all age groups. Their rage of use is quite wide - they can be consumed directly but also used for preparation of various cakes or desserts.
Year 1993 was the beginning of long sponge biscuits production. Company moved in 1998 due to inconvenient production premises from Dubnica nad Vahom to Ilava where it carries out its business at present.
Year 2001 was significant with a major investment to innovation of production line in the amount increasing 1,3 million EUR.
The production facility was installed in November 2001 when a pilot operation began. Production in the new technological facility runs in multi-shift operation since January 2002.
Further investments in 2002 were focused on reconstruction and were oriented on renovation of the plant equipment. As a result there was finished an additional building attached to the store of final products. There also began extension works of the office area, dressing rooms for employees and sanitary facilities.
Entering the EU was the moment when majority of legislation standards were not transported into the Slovak environment any more. That is why our company focused, besides the others, on implementing and quality management certification in terms of 9001-2000 standards. Preparation works for this implementation process started in 2003 and we obtained an international certificate that is essential for entering to the markets abroad in 2005. We successfully passed the subsequent audit in December 2006 confirming our compliance with ISO 9001:2000 standards.
Our company sells its products via trade network of the parent company I.D.C. Holding, a.s. in the V4 countries.
